Thanks Sass and Deidra. I know it's all about her and her family. I'm just really nervous, there will be a lot of witnesses I knew when I was still active at this funeral. I just hope that they leave me alone and don't take this as an oppertunity to get me back.

I have to go to a JW funeral

the funeral is on friday and i really feel i need to be there for my friend.
she lives out of town and does not have many friends here that can be with her in her time of need.

A very good friend of mine's brother passed away yesterday. The funeral is on Friday and I really feel I need to be there for my friend. She lives out of town and does not have many friends here that can be with her in her time of need. Her and her brother were close and she is devestated, he was only in his late 40s and leaves a wife and three kids. He was inactive for most of his adult life and for the past 6 months had been going to meetings with his wife and kids.
This friend of mine knows how I feel about the JWs and yet still speaks to me and has not run to the elders with my "apostate info". It's the least I can do for her.
I know that I must go but this would be my first time in a KH since ....... I can't remember. I think my last meeting was the memorial about 7 years ago. I'm a bit nervous to be around so many JWs.

I have a problem with what you said here
I am led by Holy Spirit but I am still human and if I speak out of turn i will correct my mistake when someone points it out or if i see it.
You see, many Christians on this forum, myself included, have tried to point out that the way you are preaching on this board is not loving. You have not corrected your mistake and have instead turned on the ones that are trying to help you questioning their faith. You seem to think that you are the only spirit filled Christian on this forum. What makes you think that we - the other Christains - have not been led by the Holy
Spirit to talk to you about your approach? It saddens me that because of YOUR actions we have Christians argueing on this forum. I tried to do this by pm but you ingored what I had to say.I hope that you see that the way you are preaching is pushing people away rather than drawing them closer to God.

I too am a Christian and I don't like the way realone is preaching on this site. I have pm'ed him and offered some advise but he turned on me questioning my faith. I think he will learn the hard way that you cannot cram your beliefs down people throats. I wish he would go preach somewhere else cause his giving not only all Christians a bad name but his giving Christ a bad name too. So sad.

Has my mom given up?
by Princess Daisy Boo inso with the memorial a mere 3 days away i was not heard a word from her about it?
each year i am told at what time it will be at the local congregation and some years she has even got one of the local witnesses to contact me to invite me (they even offered to fetch me once!)..
i am assuming that she has decided not to bring up the subject after the talk we had a few weeks ago, but this must be eating away at her big time!.
